I have an nos Trico wiper tower that I believe was made as an aftermarket part for the 38 . The Trico # is 1553621-1964400
Thanks
Your question is? Or are you just letting everyone know that number?

Question is.....is that correct for a 38 passenger car
the chain let go on my passenger side wiper transmission
The numbers you mention are patent numbers that are cast into the wiper transmission body. These numbers were used on the 1938 wiper transmissions but were also are used for many other Trico applications with this type of chain link drive, so they may be for other year or models.
The best way to identify the part is by the Trico part number for the transmission assembly which is marked on the arm which connects the wiper transmission to the wiper motor. It is marked in black ink and should be visible on a NOS part. The 1938 part numbers are 77602 (left) and 77603 (right). For reference, the 1937 wiper transmission assemblies are very similar, but not the same - the 1937 Trico numbers are 76801 (left) and 76802 (right).

Thanks for the valuable info. I needed a right side transmission and there was one NOS on ebay for $100.00 and I bought it. I know they now remake then but always like original stuff.
