Nope, it must take more than 4 posts to reply to technical topics as a non registered forum user.

I've not seen a rhyme or reason to the "moderated" user yet. The idea of it is to eliminate spam posts and for that it works really well. For us it seems to be schizophrenic. Most folks have the requirement go away after 4 approved posts. Early on I was approving posts of a dues paying member well after that (his 8th was the last I did). Questions to higher ups have gone unanswered. I guess we'll have to slog on. Keep making posts until the moderation requirement goes away then we'll see if that changes anything.

After giving this some thought and re-reading it I think I may have misunderstood the issue. To post users do not have to belong to the club and pay dues BUT they need to register. You say you haven't registered yet you have a user name. I don't know how that's possible but the Mods don't know how all that works. We're not privy to how all that works. Have you registered to the site? If no, do so and you should be able to post in all the public forums. Click Sign In then Register and follow the prompts. Membership in the club is not required.

Go to the top of the page where you should find a Sign In link in red. Click that. On the next page where it asks for your user name and password. Below the sign in box you'll see a link that says Register. Click "Register" then follow the prompts.

That is exactly what I am doing, and get the same message. Maybe others are in the same boat or have given up.

Call the webmaster at 708-455-8222 between 10 and 6 Central time. He's the person working the transition to the new site and has the ability to address things that don't work. He's also webmaster for a number of other clubs so if he doesn't answer wait a few minutes and try again, he may be on another line with a different club. Good luck.

I made a few changes. Non-members should now be able to post in all non-members only forums.

One of my other hobbies has a somewhat regular Zoom-room where users can get on and ask for help.  I wonder if that might not be a bad idea to get some of the regular contributors back in it.

Kind of related, is there a regular place where we share the health and therefore the participation of some of the members?   Could also be where we say "I talked to Mike and he's working on <something> and won't be around"

You can post in the Members Only forum. Any post there would be visible to members of the club only.
