Just a test to see how this new system works. Have not found where to pick, change or see if old avatar is carried forward and my handle on the forum

Well, it looks like neither one got carried forward to this new forum. So how do I accomplish this?

Hi Dick, Glad you made it this far. No nothing carries over. Get to start from scratch.

However, it's not too hard since most of the bugs have been worked out.

Just ask and someone will help.

Under the Filling Station is a gray bar. In the gray bar you will see "MY PROFILE", click it to gat started.

@richard Yes I see you.

I just hope the rest will come on over and carry on.

@ruscar I clicked on the gray profile, but there is nothing to select there, not sure what I did wrong, but I cant set/change any preferences in my profile. Oh well, it was worth a try.

@david-richards

Just hover over "My Profile" a drop down should then show. Click on "Account". Should now be able to make changes, etc   That's what worked for me.

Still learning the new software.  Did you get a message stating that?

Yes, got this message, see picture.

After 3 posts I got the blue icon, so I could edit my profile.

MinimumPost

I fully understand it`s a way to keep spammers out, but I think it here in the begining also will make it hard for non-computer people to convert to the new forum, and they often have the most knowledge about our old cars.

If you don`t have a question or answer for any thread right now, how should you then get 3 posts?

Maybe an idea to make a thread, only for old members to get their 3 posts, or change the setting to 1 post.
