Earlier this week I installed the gas tank on my 51. I had purchased new stainless straps but though they were the same total length the bends were not the same so I re-used the old straps after cleaning and painting them. Today with the help of a friend we installed the newly fabricated gas line to the fuel pump. The original clips that retain the line to the frame were tough to install until I tapped them in with a plastic hammer.
