I was Show Chairman for the 1st Annual Collector Car Appreciation Day Cruise-In at the Sebring International Raceway on July 13th. We had 101 registered cars celebrating CCAD. Mayor Shoop signed a proclamation proclaiming July 13th as Collector Car Appreciation Day. Wayne Estes, President of the Sebring International Raceway, gave a welcoming speech and history of the track to the crowd. And the Sheriff's Office Honor Guard presented the colors.
The event raised more than $2,100 for Southwest Florida Honor Flight to help and honor our veterans. With help from neighbors and daughters, my wife and I took 7 cars (6 Chevys) the show. Great day for a great cause.
