Hi, all. Which regulator are you using to avoid having to make holes in the firewall (Chevy 1938). The regulators that I found have current regulator, which makes it bigger than the original one. Are you buying NOS (same original part)? Thanks

Thank you. Unfortunatelly already purchased. I will look in eBay more times.

Just a thought. You could probably fabricate an adapter of sorts. Buy a piece of 3/8" billet aluminum big enough for the new regulator to screw to. Drill holes in it to fit the holes in your firewall then screw the larger regulator to it. Finish and paint it nicely and the average person will never know the difference.

@ole-olson Very odd. Checked it again at ( https://www.ebay.com/p/1441985436 ) and it is sold out. May be it is because I am outside US.
@35Mike thank you very much. I will decide what I am going to do and may contact you later.
@Tiny It is an alternative and a nice idea. I may do something similar in 3D printing.
That's really weird.
I'm outside the US as well.
Here is a screen shot of what I'm seeing... doesn't say sold out anywhere I can see.
