How do your remove the spacer block on a 1933 truck differential?  Need to pull the drums and it seems that for this model the spacer block and clips need to be removed from the differential and then drums along with axles are pulled out.  Any advice welcome!

I think the 33 are the same as my 38, to remove axles you need to remove the differential centre cover (be prepared for a 1 quart of oil), then on the centre casting there is a small bolt the holds a square block between the axle ends to be removed, rotate the block and slide it out, the axles can then be pushed in and a small clip removed which allows the axle to slide out.

@anthony-williamson Thanks, Tony.  Need to find that "small bolt".  Did not see it!  Appreciate your insight.

The small bolt is parrallel to the axles and goes through a pin that slides out of the square spacer. It is several years since I did my diff so details are a bit foggy considering near 50 years of broken motor cars though if I had my hands on the job wouldnt be a problem.
