1950 chevy oil pressure gauge fitting

I am perplexed about the type fitting that is used on the back of the oil pressure gauge. I wanted to replace the 1/8" line due to a kink. The oil line kit that I purchased has two female compression nuts and there was a fitting enclosed in the package which I assume would be an adapter. It has the male compression configuration threads on one end, and 1/8" male threads on the other. The oil gauge does not have 1/8" pipe threads and it appears to have been machined for a ferrule which would require a male nut on the tubing. I believe there must be either a special adapter fitting required, or a male nut that will need to replace one of the female compression nuts. That would require unsoldering one ferrule from the new tubing and replacing the female nut with an appropriate male nut then resoldering the factory ferrule onto the tube. I simply need to know what threads or type fitting I need to make up the connection. Too bad my daughter is in charge of sweeping the garage. The original nut is in a landfill by now.

Hi Bob

What you are looking for is a fitting Weatherhead calls a 1/8" Threaded Sleeve Nut.
