Hi group! I just renewed my membership and am doing some research. I'm looking at buying back my family's 1948 Fleetmaster which has been sitting for 10+ years. I know she's going to need a lot replaced, but what specifically needs to be done? I want to know the full extent of what I am getting into!

Change fluids. If it was left with gas in the tank/carburetor/fuel pump, clean the fuel system (this includes inside the gas tank) and replace/rebuild components as necessary. Check the brakes (cylinders/shoes), flush/replace the brake fluid. Check (repair/replace as necessary) the wiring. Good luck with your project!

No way to know until you start with the things Tiny mentioned. Any where form hundreds to thousands of dollars.
