Has anyone else figured out what to do about the inferior fuel pumps being sold ? Is rebuilding an original the only way to get a working one? I have tried 2 different suppliers and neither one worked.
Rebuilding may soon be the only option. The Filling Station recently got a shipment of fuel pumps. Have you tried them?

Yes and I had to send it back after waiting 4 or 5 months for it. I was told they were all going to be tested before shipping them. The one I received was just like the one I bought from Speedway last summer.
The geometry of the linkage is way off, at least my old pump pumps fuel, these 2 wouldn't even do that.
Hello All. This is the first time for me posting on the new site.
If you have a good fuel pump core that fits 1937-52 Chevy, I can rebuild yours for $95.00 plus shipping as long as the rocker arm is not excessively worn and there is no damage or excessive corrosion to the pot metal housings. I use nothing but Nitrile rubber diaphragms. The fuel pump will be completely disassembled. All housing diaphragm and mounting flanges are hand sanded flat. All parts are cleaned and bead blasted. Housings, screws and fuel bowl bail assembly is painted with clear coat. All metal pieces inside are painted with iron cast. Check valves and all gasket are replaced. Fuel pump is static tested for pressure and vacuum after assembly.
See the pictures of some of the prior fuel pumps that I have done.
