My 1941 Chevrolet Special Deluxe ‘vacuum shift’ has become very sluggish. I have tried using the 1941 Chevrolet Shop Manual recommended procedure to wash/lubricate the vacuum cylinder (using jack oil) but this did not clear up the sluggishness. Can anyone out there recommend someone who overhauls these vacuum cylinders to me?
