Does anyone recognize this Harrison heater badging and the correct applications of this particular heater?  It is NOS.

Is there a tag on it with a part or serial number?

Hi Luke

Your heater is a "fresh air" heater for Advance Design Chevrolet trucks.

As per the link below, Jim Carter says an improvement was made for 1953 when a door was added which converted to recirculating mode when desired.

That would put your heater as somewhere between 1947 and 1952, as it lacks this feature.

The badge changed slightly over the years, so the style of your badge may help narrow it down to the exact year.

That will take someone with more heater knowledge than me.  🙂

Hope that helps!

Here is a picture of the ID tag on the backside.  This is the box that the heater came in.  I am familiar with this Harrison truck heater and run one in my '48 Chevy 1/2 ton truck...I have just not ever seen this particular decal/badging on the heater box before and wonder what years was it used.  Thanks!

A reliable Stovebolter has suggested that this decal may be Canadian.  Contents within the box suggest that this is a 1952 heater.

Hi Luke

It appears that the heater was shipped in the box you have.

Is there a readable post mark with a date on it anywhere?

No postmark.  There was at one time "packing slips enclosed" (see the picture).  Nothing located inside there...bummer for me.

@bruce-bugay Looks like 9861?4 zooming in on one of the photos. The next to last number is difficult to distinguish. It looks like maybe a 6 or a 0??

GM part #986104.  It has been confirmed that this is a 1952 heater.

@luke-j-stefanovsky

that part number was used from 1947-52    .   How did you confirm to be a 52 ?

I think it is a 47  by the number on tag .      just my opinion.

The decal on heater housing matches a 1951-1952 NOS Air Flow heater (with no door) photo shared with me by another Stovebolter heavy into trucks.  I have been told that the tag on the backside is a model tag, not a production date tag.  Misc. paper parts bag and thermostat in my box both dated 1952.
