Sorry, forgot to add it's for a 50 4-door Styleline Deluxe

I don't have a 1950 but from looking at pictures I found on line and the way it's made I'd wager (small amount, maybe a cup of coffee 😀 ) the it's either part of the beltline molding or the interior door panel trim. The one end is made to hook over either a door edge or fender edge. Hopefully someone will be along shortly who know exactly where that goes. This is the exact reason it's always advisable to take pictures, LOTS of pictures, before you start a project that involves removal of parts, especially when you won't be reinstalling them the same day. Thanks Tiny. You are so right on pictures. The stainless and chrome was off the car for 15 years and we had some pics originally but, yeah, gone now.
