Needing to replace the sending unit on a '38 4dr Sport Sedan. Was hoping someone had experience with accessing the unit without dropping the gas tank.
Would be willing to cut the trunk floor if I had a good idea of where to cut.
I have 0 experience with a sedan. The coupe has a pre-formed hole with a cover to access the sending unit. Nothing like that in the sedan? If you end up having to drop the tank you might consider making an access hole in the floor the same size as the master cylinder access hole then using a master cylinder access hole plug to make it weather tight to improve future access. I'm assuming you don't have a wood floor like the coupe does. You can see the access hole just right of center just behind the seat back.
