Do I put tubes in the new tires right off???? Is the tube a car tube or a motorcycle tube?
Put the tube in the tire and then put the liner in last. The tube is a car tube.
Before you put the new tube and flap in the tire, I suggest that you smear some talcum powder in the tire, on the tube, and on the flap. This lubricates the surfaces so the tire and flap can slide around a little and not bunch up before you start putting pressurized air in there.

@rustoholic TY.... I was going to try and mount them my self... but was not sure of the procedure.
There's a great technical article in the technical resources area that describes how to change these tires. Although the article was written about a 1928 one ton truck, the same process applies to cars.
It is titled 1928 tire change info.pdf. This article changed my perspective on how to change a tire and is way easier than what I had been doing.
