The water pump grease cup. Should there be a hole where it goes into the water pump so you can push a small wire through it or is there some kind of baffle in there? I would think there should be a hole in there that you could push a small wire through so the grease can go in there
Yes, there should be a hole at the bottom of the grease cup. It looks like yours is sealed off with dried grease crud.

@rustoholic Thanks, I thought I should be able to push it out with a small wire but maybe I am going to have to drill it out
There should be a small ball in the passage so the grease is not pushed back toward the cup. The ball prevents pushing a wire through the passage. Trying to drill out the passage will likely destroy the part.

@chip Thanks. I was about ready to take the drill to it. I guess just put some grease in the cup and see if it pushes through?
We are both glad you saw the post before you got frustrated with drilling it. I made the mistake many years ago.
