I had to add a price to my WANTED ad, before it would let me post it. Other wanted adds do not have a price??? Also, I could not see a way to post a response to a wanted ad.

"$0" would have been fine.  Most of the ads are "for sale" so i require a price.  It cascades over to "wanted" ads. (the minority)

There are no responses to classified ads.  Contact the owner for details.

@p-gariepy  It is often helpful to have discussion posts in response to a classified ad. Why not have them? And who the heck is @mike-russell-2? I can't figure out how to get my old Chat name back and now I have a new name given to me by someone else.

Mike, There are two ways I'm aware of to edit your account information (that includes your user name) One is to click the My Profile button just below the Filling Station ad then click on Account. Second is to click the down arrow below your name on the left and click on the gear icon. Both methods take you to your account where you can make the necessary changes. If you have further question or this isn't clear give me a holler and I'll try again.

Why can't I get rid of @35mike? It seems like my username 35mike would show up as the addressee in a response. There is some ridiculous s--t on this new site. If there was another place to talk old Chevys, I would be gone already.

I don't have an answer for that Mike. I'm glad you got your user name figured out. Welcome aboard!

I tried to send a message to one of the folks in classifieds. I couldn't figure out how to do it. I found his email address but when I clicked on it, it highlighted but did not open an email template and his address would not copy for me to paste into my regular email. What is the suggested method for contacting a poster in classifieds?

Under "Contact and Location Info" you first see name of buyer/seller, next line is email and phone, can`t you highlight and copy mail there?

I just tried on a few different classified, and it works.

Copy & Paste works for me as well. It would be nice if the email address was a hyperlink so all one had to do was click on it and the user's email client automatically opened. Peter's pretty busy but hopefully he'll be able to find a fix. @p-gariepy

I got the copy and paste to work and was able to contact the poster. My goodness, that was convenient.

@tiny Yep, thanks...I found it after my post. I agree, the forum should allow chat with the seller instead of having to personally contact them via email. Others considering the item for sale might have the same questions and seeing previous posts would be most welcome. That's how other forums do it but, who am I?
