I'm looking for the detailed information that I know exists for overhauling the engine in a 1928.  I've seen it before but can't find it now that I'm ready to do the rebuild on my 1928 National AB.  If anyone can guide me to it I'll be most appreciative.  Thanks, Jon H.

I guess I don't understand. Are you looking for something not in the <SHOP MANUAL>?

There is a lot of useful information in Dean`s rebuild thread: Resurrecting a '28 4 banger

On the old page, there was also a 250 page PDF (for members only) written by Ray Holland, not sure how to find it now.

Found the 250 pages PDF by Raymond Holland, it is titled "School is in session " and if you are a member, you can find it here: 1928-Engine-Rebuild-Class.pdf

Reviving this post as I was looking for the "Schools in session" info.  Can't find it when I click the link or search.  I get a 404 error.  Is it no longer available?

If not does someone have a printed copy they can copy and send me?  would be happy to pay for it.

I can find and get to Dean's resurrecting a 4 banger

The PDF of the "Class is in Session" thread resides in the list of technical resource documents off the main VCCA page (vcca.org). I used Ray Holland's book extensively when rebuilding Lurch's engine.

Here's the 'path' that leads to it: Resources -> Forms-Downloadable -> Vehicle-Technical-Resources ->1912-1928 (4 Cylinder era) -> 1928 Engine Rebuild Class.pdf

I also corrected the broken link in the earlier post in this topic so that it will take you directly to Ray's PDF if you are a VCCA member and are logged on to the website.

Enjoy!  Dean
