when I bought my 41, it came with a bunch of parts. This one doesn't fit my car. Can anyone identify it?
It's a grill guard. I can't say whether or not it's for your car.

It looks like ones that I have seen on a 38. I don't think there were GM though.

I took my grill guard off and tried to see if it somehow fit my bumper. The contour of the part that goes over the 41 bumper is not correct. I will keep looking to see if someone has an inkling of an idea. I will also find some photos of earlier Chevys to see if something else looks like it. Thanks for your replies.
Hi Jerry
I'm probably way off here, but...
You might try finding someone with a '41 to '46 1/2 ton truck and try fitting your guard to that style of bumper.
The reason I suggest that is that what you have looks familiar to me and may look like the drawing (not an actual picture) of the accessory grill guard in the Truck Data Books from that time period.
The 3 red painted grooves certainly fit with the styling of that series of truck, which have 3 stainless strips with a red painted groove down the sides of the hood.

@ole-olson Olson, I googled 1941 Chevy 1/2 truck and the first hit was a bright blue 41 with wood bed and guess what???…my 1941 grill guard thingy. You were right on target. Now, I need to find someone who needs it. Does VCCA cover vintage trucks as well?
Here’s the link to the truck I’m, talking about: https://youtu.be/pHIJQlTTzoQ
