I would like to comment on the appearance of the red "thumb down" option I now see in the forum.
One of the reasons I decided to joined up here (other than the huge amount of valuable knowledge possessed by the members) was the politeness and civility I saw on the VCCA forum.
I did NOT always see that on other sites.
In view of this, I wonder if the "thumb down" feature is really in keeping with the spirit of this forum?
I have not seen it used, and don't expect it will be given the integrity of this forum.
Still, does it really have a place here?
Just asking... 🙂

I have noticed the option but have only used the thumb up with a post I agree with but didnt consider replying to

My first visit to the new forum, and I find it much harder to use than the old one. What am I missing? And I cannot for the life of me find a "search" buttoon to sift through posts, such as we had before. Again, am I overlooking something?
And the old forum is still searchable the same way as before.

I hadn't noticed that.
On my screen it's next to impossible to see.
Yes, it`s almost invisible untill you click on it, then it will show the searchbox, like in this picture.
Maybe Peter can make a change, so searchbox is always visible.

I noticed it in the lower left corner of each post a while ago. When you put the pointer on it it brings a thumb up/down, click on your choice. I havent noticed if it remains on the post or not though.
