I have owned this car since 1970. It was my first car. I bought it for $750 off a used car lot in Plainview, Texas when I was a high school student and drove it through college and into the Army. Multiple overseas tours saw her in and out of storage while I was away from the US. In 1998, I finally pulled her out and started driving her again, making minor repairs along the way to keep her roadworthy. In 2016 after retirement and settling into our forever home, I finally turned her over to a restoration shop and got to watch the transformation. No, she’s not a garage queen. We take her on road trips, cruises, and car shows all over the state and she now turns heads wherever we go.
