Our ‘55 was purchased August 1972 from the original owner. It had just over 17,000 miles Neptune green / shoreline beige 6 cly auto with delux heater & push button radio!
We drove Our ‘55 as a family car and daily to work. When the 6cyl died we replaced it with a 305 V8 & TH350 transmission – by 1999 she was just a tired running car with about 260,000 miles.
in 1999 we started to take her apart – new paint job in 2001 painted in a garage – then she sat in our garage under wrap Family & work took my time. By 2016/2017 we were able to get her finished new motor 350 V8 – 200R4 trans – stock rear – power brakes disk in front drums in rear – power steering – vintage A/C – new stock interior – stock tinted glass – AM/FM/XM radio – radial WW tires – restored stainless – bumpers redone First VCCA meet Our 55 received the Driver Participation Award. Over the years taken first place awards in many different shows. Plus we drive her in our local Memorial Day parade every year!!
