In 1918 -1925, Chevrolet offered a Light Delivery on the passenger 490 chassis that could be driven off the show room floor as a complete vehicle. Other trucks such as the model T and G were chassis only and a body was needed before it could be driven. The Light Delivery is a fore runner to the Canopy Express and Suburban. The first closed cab and panel bodies were offered on the one ton 1926 model X and 27 model LM. They were not offered on the half ton chassis till 1931. The Panel body was discontinued on the One Ton chassis in 1928. See the web page for more details.
