As seen in the June 2021 issue of Generator and Distributor, I am the second owner of this fantastic truck. Purchased (by accident) at the Owls Head Museum auction in 2009 from the family that bought her new, Diane, as she is lovingly named, went through an extensive $30k mechanical restoration, including new brake lines, suspension, 12 volt wiring harness, windshield frame,  and engine. The engine is a completely rebuilt 235,  with hardened valve seats so it can run on unleaded.   I also added seatbelts and rear blinkers. All of the gauges work, and the odometer shows 44,000 although I have no idea if that has been around the sun or not. I can provide the full list of what was done on request. She is all original patina with new mechanicals.  It is truly a time capsule and turns heads wherever it goes.  It is driven regularly, although only in small doses. I have added less than 3,000 miles to it since 2010.  It is stored indoors all year round, with fluid changes each spring, and just two weeks ago I replaced the tires with Cokers as the originals had been on the truck since 1980.  I have a bunch of pics and will share upon request.  Selling Diane is a very difficult decision for me that I arrived at because I don’t drive her that much and I have more cars than garage spaces. (Anyone want a Maserati Grand Turismo?)   Look forward to hearing from you if you are interested via text.
