1941 Chevrolet Master Deluxe Town Sedan
1941 Chevrolet Master Deluxe 2-door Town Sedan. One family for 68 years! This was my late father’s first car, purchased just after he graduated from high school in 1956. He was an early and longtime member of the VCCA (member #1313). The Chevy is a true barn find—off the road since about 1991—but runs and moves under its own power. Clear PA title.
The Chevy is remarkably complete and original, with the factory 216 and 3-speed manual transmission. Exact mileage is unknown, but oil change stickers show 98,000 miles in 1960, when it stopped being my dad’s daily driver.
The car was originally Admiral Green, but was repainted a slightly darker shade of Nash Hunter Green in the 1960s or 1970s (his paint guy couldn’t get the original color for some reason). The original mohair interior is in good condition for the age, with wear as shown in the photos. We have the original clock.
There is some rust, especially in the floors and rockers, and there is filler along the lower edges of the doors, cowl and rear quarters. But the frame is solid and the car has a real “survivor” patina. It could be a lot of fun just refurbishing the mechanicals and keeping it looking as it is, or a good restoration candidate.
The listed asking price is for the car alone. My dad’s hoard of NOS and good-to-excellent used body, trim and other parts for the car, including three fenders (the fourth went on the car during the repaint), a straight grille, several NOS bumper guards, two NOS headlight assemblies, five 16” wheels and much more is available at an additional $1,600 (total of $7,500).
