1940 Chevrolet Special Deluxe 2-door Town Sedan offered as part of an estate sale in Circleville, Ohio. Original 216.5 cu in “Stovebolt” inline-six engine with manual transmission. Odometer shows 97,123 miles.
Car appears largely complete with trim, brightwork, and major components present. Engine compartment appears largely original and unrestored. Vehicle has been stored for several years and has not run recently.
Interior remains presentable with light wear. Glass generally good with a chip in the driver-side windshield. Exterior shows older repaint with fading and wear. Chrome and brightwork show pitting typical for age. Stainless trim present.
Chassis shows surface rust consistent with long-term storage. Tires are dry-rotted and will require replacement. Rust perforation noted near trunk wheel housing and a small hole present in trunk floor.
