New
1929 El Camino for sale
I know, they didn’t make one. However, somebody hacked the truck space and put in a tiny pickup bed into this 1929 Chevy 2 door sedan. 😉
It’s been sitting inside storage buildings for decades. Currently, it is up on jack stands in a Quonset building in Tracy, CA.
Seems to be complete with original everything. I have seen it, but it is not mine. It belongs to a friend (Tom Gladwill) and I’m sending this out on his behalf.
There is no title, but Tom and I can attest to its being off the road for many years.
Tom tried to turn the engine over by hand a few years ago and it moved a hair, but it is really tight. Like the bearing caps are too tight on the crank.
The car/truck comes with a few other goodies:
- 6 rims with tires that hold air from a 1948 Chevy pickup. The tires currently on the car do not hold air and the idea was to put the ’48 rims on the car just to roll it around.
- A 1954 235 inline 6 engine off to the side. It is greasy on the outside and it’s previous owner said that it was a good rebuild candidate.
- A Chevy 283 with an automatic transmission. Unknown year or condition.
- A spare 1929 rebuildable block and crankshaft. These parts are at my house.
Tom is asking $3000 for the lot. He can be reached on his cell phone at 1-650-544-6325. Leave him a message if he doesn’t answer and say that you heard about this car from me.
