Hello!
When I went to my garage to have a look at my Chevrolet 1937 four door sedan I found a oilleak under the gearbox. The oil comes from the front of the gearbox. There is a end of the bottom axle on the front from which oil is leaking. What can I do? Can I stop this leaking whithout removing the gearbox?

Your best bet to stop that leak is to remove the gear box, disassemble and replace that shaft. When you reassemble the box, clean the box thoroughly, use gas tank sealer on the ends of both shafts.

Hello!
Thanks for ansver. There are so short time left to the old car seasen. So that will be tight to do it before. There can be some details who are missing. I will wait to the fall and next Whinter when there are time to do it. Can the leaked increase so much that there will be dry in the gearbox? Are there some one tightening (seal) at that axle? I have to look at the oil level for hole summer.
