I am just got new gaskets for the fuel pump on our 1929 4 door.

Do I need to put some kind of sealant on these gaskets and rubber diaphram?

No-do not use any type of sealant. Make sure all mating surfaces are clean.

Where did you get your gasket kit? I purchased one from Jackson's and was pleased with the kit. The instructions that came with it were less than desirable, but that's what the repair manual is for. chevy

Got it from Bob at Marxpartscm.

They don't charge those high "shipping and handling" fees... very helpful. Guess I couldhave waited till monday to ask him about installaiton... Its so easy that apparently no instructions are needed. Took about 10 minutes...

What did you do for upholstry?

My car still has the original upholstery. It is definitely showing its age, but is presentable for an original car with 71,000+ miles. The seat has wear on drivers side but no rips.
Headliner is sagging with small rips door panels loose at bottom. upholstery around rear window is the stained and loose. Hey other than that it is perfect. wink
