Hi Im looking for a resistance unit for a 1928 chevrolet (Remy) coil, the small unit that is screwed on top of the Remy coil. Part # 806462. Any help would be great.
I am looking for a resistance unit also. I do not even know what I am looking for. Can you describe it? Know where there are more? I have a '25 with a '28 engine--maybe one resestor is good for both????

Chevy2550. The resistance unit is shown on page 166 of the 1928 repair manual. It gives a description of its function on page 167. It increases its resistance with increased current and has a tendency to limit current through the coil , particularly if the ignition is left on without the engine running.
