The Victorian era to the 1980s

There are numerous online shops many places, may be also shops you can visit in your district. Search on the net and you will find a lot of exiting costumes to wear when you're driving the old Chevrolets. Good Luck!!!!

Kari (my wife) has just finished changing a suit bought on eBay into a smart uniform for me as taxi chauffeur from 1920ties. I also bought a lovely (correct) pair of longlegged boots for the costume recently. They were, however, pretty stiff, so I poured a lot of neatsfoot oil inside and "painted" the outside as well. I put a pair of shoe form stretcher mold, also bought on eBay, in them after oiling. By now they are restored to a useful condition for driving my 490 in a old fashion style.

I will put some pictures of several outfits a bit later.

Hope you readers also can come up with some pictures of the costumes you use when driving your beauties!

PS. If you need some neatsfoot oil for leather work (clothing, foot wear, cone clutches, harness etc,) check at the shops selling equipment for horses.

Quite a number of suppliers have specified what they stock from different yearperiods, style and sizes. You should be able to search for some having what you want, but you will have to search for several, I think, to get a good choice.

You may also try a text on Google like this:
