What was the rated load of the short and long wheelbase trucks? Can't picture the big truck as more than a ton, with single 6.00-20 tires, but then my old man bought a new International in '25 or '26 with the same setup, and he thought that it was a wonderful truck, because he would put SEVEN TON OF STEEL PLATE ON IT on a regular basis!

Are you ready for this? 1/2 ton truck was to haul 1/2 ton and the 1 ton truck was 1 ton.
Obviously these figures are conservative. Take a look in some of the history books at the load of logs that were placed on trucks in the NW timber harvest.
