Found a rebuilt temp guage for my '34 Standard, since the original owner wouldn't spring for that accessory I don't have one and don't know where it's supposed to go on the dash. Couldn't find any indication of location from the back of the dash, any help is appreciated. As is there's the speedo, amp, and fuel /oil pressure combo guage.

The temp. gauge was not offered for the 1933-34 Standard from what I can find.Infact a temp. gauge for a 1935 Standard isn't shown in the literature that I have.May have been introduced during the 1935 year or first available when the 1936 Standard came out.The later catalog (1939) shows the same gauge for 1935-36 Std.In 1936 the gauge was located on the extreem left side of the dash. The '35's that I have seen with a gauge have it to the left of the inst. cluster.I am sure that some one with a 1935 will feed in the facts. What color is the face of the gauge you have? The '34 Std. had a black face with white numbers and needle. The 1935 has a dial with a dark brown center and cream outter area. The 1936 has cream outter and black center with red needle. I haven't forgotten about the wire harness-will get back to you in a day or two. PS- Also check to see if the gauge will fit into the proper hole in the cyl. head. Its in the left rear corner on top of the head next to the left rear corner of the valve cover. The heater hose connector also threads in there. There was a pipe plug there from the factory. The parts book shows a special fitting was used in that location the the temp. sender threaded into. The specail fitting is shown for all models from 1930-1940 EXCEPT CC and DC and I am thinking it will not fit into a 1934 DC head. The book shows a %/8"-18 internal thread X 1/2 taper ext....its kind of a specail adaptor for the sender fitting. The head may not be designed for a temp. guage on the Std.

Seems like I'm always thanking you Gene, but you are the source of all sources. The manuals you've posted are invaluable also. Wish you lived closer so I could have you as my mechanic. If you ever come to Florida (don't know why you'd want to) I have plenty of room at my house for visitors.
