Please could you tell me if you have any pictures or exploded views that are close ups and more easier to work with than the repair manuals, in particular the inner and outer workings of the back brake system. All my 1929 sedan books do not go into detail, the sedan was stripped when I purchased it hence the confusion.

Thanks
Grego.

The 1929 Service News has some more info about the brakes. I have a 29 sedan too, and just finished the second time into the rear axle (sad to say, I've got to go one more time in the coming weeks.) Was there a particular question?

Service news??
As I never pulled the car apart I am a bit worried about leaving something out or installing the wrong way round, I realise most of the brake parts are pretty easy to puzzle out but I was hoping for some sort of detail. I have the two repair manuals for AC-LQ, and also Victor page's book Chevy Six construction and Restoration. Both lack the detailed picture of the fittings. I have taken many pics of the outside linkages and brake parts, I cant fid anyone with the drum off.
Regards
Greg

Another idea that has been suggested on this forum.
If you have a digital camera, as you remove a part take a pic, take the next part off and take a pic. That way when you go to reassemble just look back at pics in reverse order.
When I was learning my trade there was no thought of quick developing film let alone digital cameras.
