Very nice home page that should prove to be a great way to introduce people to VCCA and Chevy Chatter. The club is very fortunate to have such dedicated talent.

hi bill, this forum's a good addition to our site...are new chat members made aware of it's existence at the time they sign up, or perhaps, even before...I imagine there are many who stop by to take a look at our chatter, but are not sure if they want to register...how are we promoting this forum?.. thanks, epi

Thanks BPBB. It's now up to us to welcome new visitors to this site, make friends & help them overcome their Chevy problems. You never know the next new member could have the very answer you need to that age old problem. And Michael, they could be our next PR person (PC) If your new to the site, tell us about yourself, get to know us & make friends.

Hello Gentlemen, If I may, I would like to take some liberty as a first time user before I ask my first question. Earlier this year I had been thinking about restoring my 1931 special-sedan (Job # 31569 Body # T14197). I shared my thoughts with a coworker who shared with me his current membership copy of the G&D and he suggested that I start by visiting the VCCA website. He also cautioned me by saying that once I’m exposed, I could easily get hooked and become a “Chevrolet Junky”. I discounted his warning and thanked him with a smile. I visited the website, registered and became a member early last March. I have viewed and read so much valuable information over the last few months that I feel like a kid in a candy shop who is indeed “hooked”! It didn’t take long before I realized that I was not alone. I would like to acknowledge VCCA and thank the likes of Bill Barker, JunkYardDog, Chipper, MrMack, AntiqueMechanic and so many more who I should mention for contributing time and expertise to a forum that is available to all. Not only does it help save these vintage contraptions from the “chop shops “ but it also provides a genuine element of comfort that encourages others like myself to take on such a project. You are an inspiration for all of us….Thank you! Bob

Newbie checking in here... Just wanted to say thanks for the warm welcome to this site, I am out in the Old Pueblo and embarking on a restoration of a 37 master deluxe ( long story) and looking forward for sharing stories and ideas of how to do this... especially the companies to use or stay away from. As i say often I was a dealership mechanic in a former life and had to get a job that could pay the bills so i have tech info as my strong point, i just don't do body work as good.
Thanks again

Hi,
Another new person checking in. I have a 47 Fleetline Aerosedan that is in pretty good condition. My dad has a 47 Fleetmaster convertible that is slowly being restored. I appreciate all the help and information that this site provides.
Quick question - I joined VCCA in December and received my first edition of G&D and VCCA badge but I don't know my member number. Is there someone I can contact about receiving my member number?
Thanks again for all the help you provide.
Perol

Hello- I am having the same problem with access to the Members Area. My VCCA # is 6755 (this is posted in my profile as well). I assume that I would need to be manually given permission to the members area? Hopefully someone can initiate this process and notify me when this is completed. thanks Don Hampton

Over a year!!!???? You just posted your request 32 minutes ago and NOW YOU HAVE FULL MEMBER ACCESS to the rest of the member area. I guess you just needed to know how to ask correctly. Sorry... there must be something in the water... I've modified 6 personal account today. Amazing... it seems that everyone is trying to get access to one account or another. Thanks to Chip and MrMack, they handle most of them. I really (!!) need to work on joining the accounts all together... but I get easily sidetracked with multiple requests... some over a year old!! ha ha..... oh, well.

Hi, and thanks for the welcome and a great site. I also am unable to access the VCCA club member's sections. I entered my VCCA number in my profile, but get an "access denied" message when trying to access the membership areas. Do I need to do anything else to access the members area? Thanks again, John

babe grand, rdz, you have been verified as a current VCCA member and you now have VCCA member permissions!
We do have a process that will verify a member of VCCA. It isn't automatic, but when we are asked and have your VCCA number in your profile that will enable us to make the verification. Have fun!
