The JunkYardDog and three other puppies are eagerly working on the annual JunkYardDog Adventure for this year. As mentioned earlier, it will be in the Medford, Oregon area and the tours will extend into Grants Pass, Ashland, Sam's Valley and the Applegate areas as well.

At this time the tours have been picked, and we are now in the process of lining them out by day and time. It looks like the Adventure will definitely be a four-day event, with three other mini-tours planned on the fourth day (Sunday) for those that want to hang around. More information will be posted on this later once the tours are set and the flyers are made. Also, a detailed flyer will be posted here with all of the pertinent information that you will need to know regarding the dates, motel reservations, and the tours themselves. There is no registration fee and the individual tours are free as well.

Since Southern Oregon is a heavy tourist area, with many car clubs and etc., at this time it looks like we will have no choice but to move the previously planned tour dates up to the end of September to avoid all of the other conflicting events in October. Again, more information on this soon, so stay tuned here!

The annual Junkyard Dog Tour will be a four-day event this year, with three mini-tours planned on the fourth day for those puppies who will still be in the area. JunkYardDog Tour, Is this a International tour or a National tour, or a regional tour or just a canine tour? or all or none of the above????Will there be car judging or just ordinary sniffing and scratching?

You dudes are talking about VCCA sanctioned meets or tours, which could be either a regional or a national, unless the national really is a regional. Or, a regional which really is a national. Or an Anniversary Meet which is actually a national, but since it is a special, it is usually looked upon as an International.

The Junkyard Dog adventures are simple and easy to understand, therefore the JunkYardDog tours are none of the above. The annual JunkYardDog adventure is not sanctioned by the VCCA. Rather, it is a simple adventure in which all dudes are invited, whether or not you have a Chevrolet, F**d, a street rod, a tractor, a motorcycle or no car at all. There is no registration fee, no car judging, no stress and no strain. Nothing but fun!

For those dudes who have already signed up for the annual JunkYardDog Adventure next month (the deadline was August 1st), the JunkYardDog Tour Schedule at the beginning of this thread has been updated to include the places that we are going to eat for lunch and dinner each day. The JunkYardDog committee worked on the eating places this past week, so those that are interested should check out the updated tour schedule above.

Yep! The tour starts on Thursday AM. At this point, all of the times and places will remain the same. However, as on all previous JunkYardDog Tours, we might have to play a few things by ear as we go.

The annual Junkyard Dog Adventure starts tomorrow morning...early. At this point, it looks like we will have over 30 dudes attending. Some of the Junkyard Puppies are already in town from various places up north (Oregon and Washington) and from the eastern part of the state. In the next four days we will be seeing a lot of vintage cars (including one stash of about 250), street rods, vintage gas pumps, neon signs,vintage pinball machines and jukeboxes, a very old machine shop that rebuilds antique automobile engines only, a body shop or two, a 1932 Chevrolet phaeton in a barn, and one beautiful blue-eyed blonde!

wish i could make it this year. maybe some future tour. coors won't work though, prefer the beast. have fun. mike
