What does the correct 1936 tire pump look like? Or was the 36 originally issued with a pump?

A pump came with my car (36 standard Town Sedan)when I purchased it, but not sure if it is the orginal. It somewhat looks like what came with the Model A F*rd, and in fact it may be from an A Model. Has a stamped steel ribbed base, not too tall, and a wood handle. The hose is ribbed rubber (not smooth). Sorry don't have the pump with me to take a picture.

That description is about right for one of at least two that were used. A picture would allow us to tell for sure.

Chipper,

Thanks for the information! I probably won't be able to take a picture until after Christmas--the car is not located close to where currently living. But I'll plan on posting pictures as soon as able.

Hello pickup man,

Just sent you my mailing address and email address (in two separate messages--I goofed initially!)

Thanks for your assistance! And will still plan on taking a picture of the pump I have to post here in case others are interested.

35 pickup man,

Thanks very much for the photocopies, dimensions and drawings you sent me in the mail!! I got them before Christmas--just now having time to do a little car stuff again. I'll be glad to re-imburse you for your copies, efforts and time.

You gave the dimensions for the 36 pump as:
1 1/4" diameter
17 3/16" tall
handle 6" wide
base 4 1/2" long

The pump I have is:
1 1/4" diameter
17 3/4" tall
handle 6" wide
base 4 3/4" long

As mentioned earlier, the hose is ribbed black rubber. The biggest difference I can see between the pump I have and the pictures you sent me is that the base is square edged on my pump and rounded/oval edges on the diagram you sent.

Here are some pictures of the tire pump that came out of my 36 Chevrolet:

What do you all think? Is the tire pump I have 36 Chevrolet? If so, Or would it be of the Henry F**d variety?

Thanks again

P.S.
Sorry for the giant images \:\( Hope they don't take too long to load for those on dial-up. Amongst many other things, I'm not exactly a technical wizard

I don't think your pump is the Chevrolet issue for the following reasons; as you noted the base corners, Chevy's are rounded on ends, the hose outlet at the base on Chevy's was to the side of pump cylinder in center of base pad, the top did not have a square shape where the rod when through the cylinder, most of the pictures of Chevy pumps have natural handles. I have pictures from 34, 35, 36 & 37 and they all are the same.
