No radio in '32 either, right JunkYardDog? Even if the radio was introduced in the year '32 (late), but in the model year '33. I really wanted a radio in my '32, but it is not to be... See you can teach old gators new stuff... with effort... I think the only exception would be police radio?

I found a 33 Chevy radio a while back. I restored it and installed it in my 28 coupe for fun. I fabbed up special hardware so I could mount it under the dash without drilling any holes in the firewall. It just bolted up to existing fastners under there. The problem was that the old four cylinder cars have a lot more vibration than the newer cars and I found myself pulling the radio every 500 miles or so to fix a broken capacitor lead or loose screws. I would guess not too many people retrofitted these radios to the older cars back in the day. Regards, -R

Your radio problem with the car bounding around and causing problems reminds me of the same type problem that Chevy had with the record player accessory in '50's cars.
Wonder who came up with that idea...(and who he was working for the next year).
Don't even see many of them in the "I have 'all' of the accessories" cars at shows.

JunkYardDog isn't that when they invented the new style of music called Chevy-rap?

$1200!!! Now I wish I had purchased some of them; better return than stock market.
So MrMack, that would mean the more bad railroad crossings the more rap????
I can't throw too many stones as I did have a 'reverberation' unit in my car in the 60's; the person who broke into my car one night and stole the unit was even less bright than me...

I bought a nice old 30's style car radio, the two piece kind with the controls under the dash and control cables to the bread box size radio to attach to the firewall. I worked a couple of weeks to restore it and went to install it mainly to have music for long trips. All of that would have been fine, except there was no room for the radio on the firewall! DAH! Now I have a small boombox along side me for my rides!
