This is a poster/fold-up that is approximately 3X5 feet. There is no marking to identify year. It is either 1947 or 1948. Anyone have an answer and what was your clue?

My guess is 1948-the heater shown was a new "DeLuxe" model introduced in 1948.There may be some items on the bottom row that would give me more clues but they are too small to identify on my screen

Can you make out what the lens looks like on the back up light? I'm told the 47 lens has a series of grooved rings and the 48 is a series of dots in rings. If that info is not correct please advise so I don't look for the wrong back up light.

Interesting, VCCA Son,

According to the parts book the lens for the 1947-49 passenger is the same. The note says that the part number is molded on. That part number is: 5938015 and it is 2 5/8 inches OD.

Took a close look at the chart and I can't tell for sure what the pattern is, however it APPEARS to be rings with dots.???????

The ad should be for Christmas 1948.The 1947s began in Feb. 1947 and the 1948s in Feb. 1948.1949s in Jan. 1949.1947s had a 3 door DeLuxe heater and '48s shared the odd looking square one with the trucks (non-AirFlow).If the picture was updated the exhaust extention should be designed to fit an oval tail pipe which was new for 1948.

Ken,I have a back-up light kit for a 1942 Cadillac. It has a 5931451 lens with groved rings.I sure that I have seen the dotted ring type that Ray described also.It may have been a running change and number was unchanged.I have a used bracket for a '47-'48---That would make up a complete light as the housings are the same.

Last attempt:

For some reason this chart just defies the attempt to make and post a clear picture.

Here is the top ½ of the chart.

And here is the bottom 1/2

Thanks-that allowed me to see the Dual sun visor and the Noblo wind deflector which were a new accessorys for 1948.Also the exhaust deflector appears to be made to fit the oval tail pipe -also new for 1948.
