Where are you? I don't have a COE, but I love them.
How about some "stuff" on them? Pics? Updates?

Math word problem:
Gator leaves Oregon going to Florida; driving Diesel Dan.
Solve for the unknowns; Diesel Dan gas millage, gas prices in the summer, distance to travel, speed.
1. How much money will he need to have for gas?
2. How long will the trip take?

Gator, Ric Hall, of Sumner, Wash., built that truck about 10, or 12 years ago. The last time I spoke to him, he was telling me, he had sold it to a relative in Cali., but was thinking about, trying to buy it back.

Thanks for the web sites MT, makes for some good reading and some nice eye candy.
Is the motto of the COE guys, "size does matter"?

MrMack, isn't that a great truck???????????? I would like to see it in person. The frame must be...what...? Doesn't look like a modern one...
Not exactly an original COE, but it is a COE!!! COOL...
MT, another first for me, a pregnant truck (titan11ttt) looks like it is going to be a 1/2 bouncing baby Chevy.
What is the story on, dreadnot5554, beautiful truck.

There are a lot of suppliers of parts for these years.
Pick up some restoration magazines and you will find a bunch of ads for them and their catalogs.
Use Hemming's also.
A web search is also helpful in finding companies that have these parts.

Our COE was giving to us. The previous owner wanted to see something done with it. It worked at the Feed mill since new, then was replaced and sat in the barn. Lots of parts needed. If the price wasn't free I think I would use it as the donor. Pretty much typical northern rusted fenders and boards. Drivers door and grill needed also. front hit but bumper is fine. looks like something fell on it and they replaced the hood and beat the fender and top corner of cab back out. Does any of these parts interchange with a pickup ??? Cabs the same ? floor different but could I section a roof from pickup to the coe? Body work not a problem just not knowing what will interchange when I run across parts at swap meets.

Hey buckeyepuller, the cab is the same as the pickups, & conventional big trucks, except for the floor,(as you mentioned), & the doors. Grille bars are the same as the conventional big trucks, back part of grille is different. I have removed complete grilles out of conventional big trucks, & swapped the good grille bars, to the COE back grille panels. You just have to drill out the pop rivits. Fenders, of course are different, but you can use a good conventional big truck fender for patch work. Have fun with it, i always do. Send me some pictures if possible. Catch ya later, Spanky http://www.classiccoe.com/spanky.htm

buckeyepuller, I've got three parts trucks, & an assortment of misc. parts, what in particular do you need. I had COE parts sticking out of every corner, but have been selling alot of my excess stuff. http://www.classiccoe.com/spanky.htm

Spanky, Under our first examination, the obvious parts are drivers fender, both running boards, couple grille bars, splash pan, hood emblem center (think since side ones are gone ,we are going to smooth it) drivers door. Seems like all the parts that don't fit the pickup style. HA HA HA !!!Another way to look at it like my wife is the only thing good is the light lenses, front bumper, and hood. Still going to fix it though..

Good for you buckeyepuller.
But, don't try to do too much all at once, I find doing it one small job (project) at a time keeps me from getting depressed.
Looking at something all torn apart in boxes and spread everywhere can make it seem like an impossible task (been there and done that).
Good luck (keep a photo of a finished truck like yours on the wall of your garage too, for inspiration).
