Come on in and drop a note or post a question. Let's get this forum up and running. \:\) I'll start out by saying that I own a 1948 Chevy 2 ton, 5-window cab with a 2 speed rear end. Its currently in a nondrivable condition and I plan to do a full restoration on it back to stock. I would love to hear what you own or help you with a question.

Hi Big Green 48,
Thanx for doing the site on commercial vehicles. Most of the 37 Chevs I drive are classified as "Commercial" or "Utility".
I've posted photos of some of them on the website /~c1937/>.
Keep up the good work, Lou

Welcome MotherTrucker, Lou, Bowtierll, and 2Ton! Hopefully more people will drop by and get this forum going to a good start. I already know MotherTrucker and Lou from other websites and their knowledge and resources are a great asset to this site.

Hello Guys, I have a 1933 1 1/2 ton flatbed Chevy. Outside of tires, tubes and a paint job later, it just needs minor things done. I may need a little advice from time to time. That's about all for now, Take Care!!! :< ;\)

With questions about a 6400 flatbed with historic plates ,should I post them on the truck page or commercial page?

Hey biggreen, long time no see. I used to chat with you and Geo before the chatter when down last year. Glad it's back up and running. I'm the guy in Louisiana with the forrestor green 48 flatbed and the 32 coupe. Last time we chatted I asked you about a reproduction hood emblem and they don't make it, but fortunately I found it. We also have a 53 GMC flatbed and a 46 pickup just like Geo's. I velieve I sent you a picture of the 46 before. It was red, but I'm going back with Boatswain Blue. Last time I had you look up my numbers, you said my 48 truck was a 1 1/2 ton on a 2 ton frame.

Welcome Dd, Frog, and MudBug! Dd, how's the ChevyII coming along? Frog we have a guy in the San Diego region with a 1934 1.5 ton that has all the chassis, drivetrain, and wood work done. MudBug, I remember the question, but not the name. Did you change it? If you have a 1.5 ton on a 2 ton frame then its a 4400 and not a 4100 on a 1 ton frame.

2ton, I don't see why posting questions in either forum would give different results. I would think and hope people interested in trucks would checkout all three truck forums for info or giving advise. Do you have questions on your truck or the plates? Post in either and I'm sure you would get a response.

Yes Biggreen48 I changed the name. However it has been so long since I talked to you I forgot what it was. I'll have to look up the numbers again, I remember giving them to you and that was what you said. The truck was a Rice Truck here in Louisiana.

I don't need the vin again if that's what you're after. You can post it if you want to refresh my memory or you misplaced the info I gave earlier. What was the name you were using on classicar? Or was that what you forgot? Anyway, good to see you again.

Biggreen, it was on classicar. I think it was Oceanryder. You will probably remember the truck if I send you the picture again.

I just bought a 1937 1 1/2 ton Panel. Not much information out there. Any pictures or information will be appreciated.
I got spoiled by mt Model AA Fords because there is so much information and so many parts available.

I have several. My 1954 3800 is currently under the wrench and looks like this with quite a bit of progress since the photo. I also have a 1955 1st Series 5700 COE which is next for restoration. And I recently purchased this 1955 1st Series 6400 which is a running driving truck just for fun and small work projects. The 6400 has a hoist, a 261 and electric wipers, a first for trucks in 1954. I also have a 1955 1st Series Suburban which was originally a work truck for the original owner so I'm counting it as a commercial vehicle.
