I have wanted to "fix up" a small 30s to 50s Chevrolet based pumper. My problem has been having a trailer or truck that will transport one. I haven't had a career as a fire fighter, I have been a VFD member since I retired from a civilian job, and used my past truck experiance to do some repair work on a couple of the departments surplus older pumpers. Thanks for sharing your site. It was not funded with tax dollars. Sometimes folks would make an inkind donation of parts or cut their labor rate and sometime cash donations happened when folks looked at the effort I made.
