Do you have a Panel, Canopy, Suburban, Double unit (Pickup, Flatbed) or flat face cowl with special body? Only the Panel & Canopy have same bucket seats. If you have a double unit and want access behind seat, Rear VW rabbit seats fit nicely and most can be folded.

lou, we've a kc 1/2ton pickup... the vw seats could work as an interim, but we're looking to put it back correct to original... I suspect the seat in there now is from a later pickup...the seat's too large front to rear, but the width's okay, as is the seat back... epi

I believe the seat frame are probably a little different as the cab on the 40 was made slightly larger than the 39 as closer resembles the cab from 41-6. I have original seats in all 3 of my '40's. (I am even considering parting one truck out but have yet to decide). If you would like me to take measurements let me know. Brian
