I have seen several on larger trucks used as gin pole winch trucks in the oilpatch, there isn't much of a reason to have a large window in a grain truck or a dump truck, but I have seen guys that insisted on having large windows in theirs.

Well, all I wanted passing from cab to camper was the cool air from the cab A/C and used a truck inner tube betwen camper and cab as a seal, stuck it in and then aired it up, made a neat seal to keep the cool air in! When did pickup campers first become popular? The first I remember was late 60s or early 70s but the CRS kicks in and Pow! the memory pops off.
