Did anyone notice the Bill Hirsch engine paint?

If I owned it I would remove the big out of place Fulton sun visor and use the money to buy a pair of front bumper guards.Why would they stick guards on the rear and not the front? The engine looks too blue for BH paint

In most photos that I've seen of the BH paint, it does have a bluish cast like the one on the '38 on eBay. I have an engine with BH paint and in person and in photos it looks exactly like the color on the '38 Chevy featured on eBay.

Is that the original style front seat in the '38?

The car is described in one place as a Master DeLuxe and a Master in another.It is a Master as the Mastre DeLuxe has knee-action and a full front seat cushion and a split back rest.The '38 Master 2 doors were the last year to have the "1931" style bucket front seats.The car does have some nice accessories that are correct-push button radio which was the first car to have a P B radio,the horn ring-rare,right tail light,the dual horns (from 1935 thru 1939 they looked like this but were changed slightly every year)wheel trim, fender skitrs-could be repros,clock, and bumper huards and right wiper were also extra on a Master.The Master also had no chrome running board moulding as this one dosen't.If new ones were bought thru parts they would come with the clip holes and installation of mouldings was necessary.and most Masters you see today have these.Looks as if it was a fairly good car before restoration.

Has any one noticed the exhaust end tip that has a red symbel on the top of it? it look's sort of like a sea shell flareing outward ? could that be from the factory or another after market item?
any way i sure would love to own a auto such as that one!

The exhaust extention is an after market.The 1938-40 factory ext. is a rather flat top ,no fancy curves plain looking job.A frind of mine used to make reproductions and they were sold thru Kesslers.

This was back in the good old days.He also made '37-39 fender skirts and '38-'39 rear bumper stone deflectors for them.I furnished him with the "samples" and he was a metal worker and did the rest.

Ya, I figured as much, and those were the good old days too! I remember them well and I wish that they were still here. I remember those fender skirts and deflectors also. Now, you mention "Kessler" and dudes get mad...and rightly so.

Notice that the '38 Master went for $16,000...I have a feeling that the seller was a VCCA member as I recall selling a (very rare) 1938-39 horn ring to a guy in the Southwest.It was about 4 years back and I think he lived in Arizona or New Mexico.
