I bought a hot water heater for my 32 Chev a couple of years ago. Haven't installed it and I don't know if I ever will as I don't drive the car in cold weather. Still I couldn't resist buying it as it is in great shape and you never know??? What bothers me is that I've seen a couple of eBay auctions lately for 32 Chev heaters (eg eBay#599643777) that are very similar but with a different front face. Now I'm wondering if mine is correct or not. Mine appears to have the same housing and the front face is the same, but this face plate in mine has a black crinkle painted surface and a wire mesh cover for the circular opening (about three-eights square openings in the mesh). Perhaps this is for a truck? Does anyone know if it right for a '32 car?

Item number 599643777 on eBay is the correct Chevrolet accessory heater for 1931 and 1932. Harrison made this Genuine Chevrolet accessory heater, however, they also made an almost identical heater for their aftermarket accessory line as well. The heater appears to be the same as the 1931-32 Chevrolet heater except that the Harrison aftermarket heater has a circular, wire mesh grill, the heater is taller than the accessory 1931-32 Chevrolet heater, and it doesn't have the brass tag that says "Genuine Chevrolet Hot Water Heater". The heater that you have is definitely the Harrison aftermarket accessory hot water heater and it is not the 1931-32 Genuine Chevrolet accessory hot water heater. I hope that this information helps you!
