Hello again.
The top has a tack strip at the back where the rubber meets the metal. There was a hard black material covering the strip. I parked the car in the sun for a day (I know it's Oregon but it happens) to soften it up. It needed to be replaced because it leaks at this seam. The sun worked and I removed it with a plastic putty knife. The material looked alot like 3M Strip Caulk.
My question is, What works best to seal this strip? This isn't a show car but I do like to make it look nice. I have easy access to body shop supplies so if someone has a suggestion I'm sure I can get this waterproofed for future sunny days in Oregon.
