I received a wood kit for the two doors of my 1928 Capitol 1 Ton Truck. Does anyone have exploded views that would help with the detail of how the wood goes into the doors? Some holes are predrilled and it looks like some have to be piloted. Wondering how the corner joints are secured, glue, screws, both. Need assistance on how latch secures to door post. You would think the fit of parts would give it away but have found this is no slam-dunk? :-) Any help would be appreciated, Maxie.

The best method is to contact the person who supplied the wood kit for instructions or recommendations. Send them your questions.

The joints were not glued only screwed. Braces, latches were also screwed. Sheet metal was nailed generally with 1" common nails. Ring shank nails are often used as replacements. It is best to use a few common nails to locate the sheet metal first. Then when sure it all fits right put in the ring shank nails (they are neary impossible to remove).
