Forget Egge Machine unless you just can't find the parts anywhere else. They are too proud of their stuff and several people have had problems with their pistons.

I know of people that have had very good results and cooperation with Egge Machine. I know of one person that had a parts problem and Egge furnished replacement parts at no charge and paid the labor for the second instalation of the parts.You can't ask for more.

After being in this hobby for about 35 years, one of the vendors that I have heard the most complaints about, (and also based on personal experience), is Egge Machine. Mainly, the complaints are about the parts that they manufacture. Many fellows complain about their pistons, mains, rods, and valve guides, and several quality machine shops around the country refuse to use Egge manufactured products. I even know of several fellows that live near Egge Machine and they get their pistons, mains and rods from other vendors.

RAM engine rebuilders in Spokane, WA has a division that does only vintage engines. Their prices are nice and their work is excellent.

hey guys; never did any buisiness with egge, just got recommended to them from my shop foreman. he siad they have pts to fit everything... sounds like they are scetchy ptd dealers... probably find a set of ohio pistons to fit for myself... i live in ohio... sorry bout generating bad vlbes... kevin

I overhauled the engine in my daily driver (see below) 20 years ago. I used all egge parts and have had no trouble what so ever in 240,000 miles. I never add oil just change it every 3000 miles and it is usually down about a quart.
