I'll help Donald here since his Model T buddies installed the geat set in his car. The gear sets made in the last run sold for around $780 as I remember. If you have a shop install the gear set for you, depending upon who does the work (the Model T dudes charge more) and where you live, it could run another $300 or $400. Figure around $1,200 as a ball park estimate.
Donald has the gear set in his car and he really likes them. So do the rest of my friends that spent the money to have the job done. If you are planning on driving your car a lot on the freeway and etc., then this is the only way to go.
Do you have to have Old Chevy guys do the swap or can a good shop that rebuilds rears do it?
I know guys that rebuild 10, 12 bolt Chevy rears (and 8, 9" F*rd), but can't find old timey guys (I would provide all of the instuctions that comes with the unit for them to use).

ED, I think If you figured to spend about 1300 dollars total and told your wife that, She would be so happy to know that you would be able to tool down the freeways at sixty to seventy MPH and you would not be late getting her to the hair dressers. You would really get alot of points In your favor. I think that anyone who Is Interested In getting the gears from Larry Jackson, Should give him a call and find out all the details on how to Install the gears. His phone number Is 805-937-8171
